Today marks another critical juncture in this high-profile case as the judicial custody period for Darshan and his co-accused faced extension. The authorities submitted a remand copy, proposing a 14-day extension, which the court approved and extended Darshan's custody until July 18, 2024.

Separately, female accused Pavitra Gowda, designated as A1 in the case, will also appear, but she will attend her proceedings individually.

The defence counsel for the accused has filed a petition challenging the remand application, signaling a contentious hearing ahead. In response, the Government Public Prosecutor (PP) has been notified to file the necessary remand application. The PP has already issued copies of the remand to all relevant parties.

As the legal proceedings continue to unfold, today's hearing will be pivotal in determining the next steps for Darshan and the other accused. The outcome could significantly impact the direction of the ongoing investigation and the legal strategies of both the defense and the prosecution.
