Renukaswamy murder: Father of an accused dies of cardiac arrest; unable to digest that his son was ‘fixed’

Even as Anu, one of the accused in the Renukaswamy murder case involving actor Darshan, surrendered, his father died of a cardiac arrest. He is identified as Chandranna, 60 years of age. He had slipped into depression over his son’s arrest. He was also of the opinion that his son had been framed.

Earlier, Anu was absconding and his visuals of hovering around went viral. He was allegedly involved in kidnapping Renukaswamy and bringing him to Bengaluru, where he was locked up in a shed in RR Nagar. 

The Incident

A few days ago, a pharmaceutical employee in Bengaluru's RR Nagar was allegedly abducted and held captive in a shed. During his captivity, Darshan and his accomplices are accused of assaulting him over claims that he had sent indecent messages to Pavitra Gowda. After the worker died, his body was disposed of in a drain.

Darshan's Arrest

Darshan was later captured at a gym in Mysuru. Along with him, all other suspects, including the main accused, Pavitra Gowda (A1), were arrested. They are now in custody for six days. Yesterday, the police took them to the shed to conduct a spot inspection.

Family's Response

Renukaswamy's wife and mother have called for strict action against all the suspects. His mother has even demanded that they be executed.
