Renukaswamy, who had sent lewd messages to Pavitra Gowda (A1), was kidnapped from Chitradurga and taken to a shed in RR Nagar, Bengaluru. On the day of his murder, he was fed a hearty meal at 5 p.m. before being savagely beaten and given electric shocks by Darshan (A2) and his team. His body was later dumped in a drain.

The investigation picked up pace when Darshan was arrested on June 11 from a gym in Mysuru. Following his arrest, the police discovered that Darshan had sent visuals of Renukaswamy’s corpse to former Bengaluru corporator Mohan Kumar. Kumar, now under interrogation, admitted to funding the destruction of evidence.

The seized items include the weapons used to torture and kill Renukaswamy, as well as the clothes he and Darshan wore during the incident. These items were meticulously analyzed by forensic experts, who confirmed their connection to the crime scene and the individuals involved.

Additionally, the police have collected CCTV footage from four locations: the RR Nagar shed, Pavitra’s house, Darshan’s house, and Pradosh’s house. This footage is being scrutinized to piece together the sequence of events and interactions among the suspects.

The forensic report, combined with the CCTV evidence, strengthens the case against Darshan and his accomplices, ensuring that they will face justice for their heinous acts. The investigation continues, with authorities determined to unravel the full extent of the conspiracy and provide closure to Renukaswamy’s family.
