An Accenture employee was laid off after4.5 years of service

He penned an emotional note detailing his future endeavours

Earlier, the company had retrenched 19000 employees

An Accenture employee, who had been in the company for as long as 4.5 years, was laid off recently. Aghast at what happened, the employee took to LinkedIn to share his experience. 

He wrote, “After an enriching 4.5 years at Accenture, this week I’ll be moving on to embrace new professional challenges. While bittersweet, this transition is an exciting chance to pursue fresh opportunities and spend cherished time with family. I’m tremendously grateful for my time at Accenture and the exceptional Trust and Safety team I worked alongside. I had the privilege of collaborating with talented colleagues and Meta, gaining invaluable relationships and industry knowledge.” 

Earlier this year, the tech giant had retrenched as many as 19000 employees. 

Now, the employee noted that he would spend some time with his family. 

“Working in different areas has equipped me with a diverse and valuable skillset that will be an asset as I take on new challenges. Though I will miss the many wonderful people I have worked with, I am thrilled for what lies ahead. Please keep me in mind if you come across an opportunity that matches my background. I look forward to staying connected,” he noted further. 

It can also be noted that the company had made it clear that it would not be giving pay hikes to its employees.
