Rishab Shetty unveils ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ poster as shoot wraps up

On the occasion of Rishab Shetty’s birthday (July 7), the makers of Kantara Chapter 1 released the new poster and officially announced the completion of the film’s shoot. The much-awaited movie is now set to hit theatres worldwide on October 2, 2025.

The poster features Rishab Shetty in a fiery, tribal warrior look. He appears mid-air in a battle ready pose, holding a battle axe in one hand and a shield in the other. The background features a circular fire design with tribal patterns in warm tones of red, orange, and gold, giving a glimpse into the film’s cultural setting as well.

The poster was released with the caption: “Where legends are born and the roar of the wild echoes.” Described as a prequel to the Kantara (2022) film.

The film is directed by Rishab Shetty, who also stars in the lead role, and is produced by Hombale Films. It is expected to explore themes of mythology and tradition and nature as well. The team shared that post-production work has now begun.

Fans of the original film have welcomed the update, and the poster has added to the anticipation for the next chapter in the Kantara series.
