Madan, a native of Chitnahalli village in Hassan taluk, had recently come to visit relatives in Chikkakondagula. He was staying at a relative's house for the past two days. On Wednesday night, while at the house, he suddenly complained of severe chest pain.
Before anyone could react, Madan collapsed on the spot. Family members rushed him to the nearest hospital in an attempt to save his life. However, despite quick efforts, doctors declared him dead on arrival. The exact cause was identified as a cardiac arrest.
With Madan's untimely death, the number of heart attack fatalities in Hassan district this year has risen to 34, raising serious health concerns among residents and local health authorities. The increasing number of such cases among younger individuals is particularly alarming, as it challenges the traditional perception that heart ailments are mostly restricted to older age groups.
Health officials have urged the public to remain alert to early symptoms such as chest pain, breathlessness, or fatigue and seek immediate medical attention when such signs appear. Experts are also stressing the need for better awareness around lifestyle diseases and the importance of timely health check-ups, even for youth.
