Singam Again, starring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Arjun Kapoor, has drawn attention since its release, especially with cameos by Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar. Deepika Padukone's debut as "Lady Singham" sparked excitement but left fans wanting more, as her role was primarily a cameo. However, Shetty confirmed that this introduction was purposeful, designed to set the stage for a future female-led cop film.

In a recent interview, Shetty explained that while the cop universe concept was initially uncertain, the ambition to create a female cop story took root in 2018. He also noted that the pandemic caused delays in the franchise timeline, with Sooryavanshi originally set for 2019 and Singham Again planned for 2020.

Shetty emphasized that while the full storyline for Padukone’s character has yet to be crafted, her “Lady Singham” arc will be fully realized, saying, “There’s a reason why we’ve emphasized her character.”
