Rolls Royce unveiled the La Rose Noire Droptail during the Monterey Car Week during a private gathering to its proprietors. It has a particularly elegant design that appeals to artistic sensibilities. The colour of the vehicle also symbolises love. The car was not painted but in fact infused with a chrome electrolyte while plating with the polishing done manually.

It has a convertible rooftop. The roof can vary in intensity from translucent to opaque.

The interiors are also such that the geometric composition follows a pattern of falling petals of a rose. The dashboard consists of a limited edition watch which can be removed and worn by the users and replaced in its position. This too has a rose colour to match the car’s aesthetics. .

The car reportedly costs more than 30 million dollars (211 crore).

It is a 2 seater, as opposed to most Rolls Royce which are 4 seaters.

“Dark, daring and dramatic, La Rose Noire Droptail is an extraordinary achievement symbolising one family's distillation of experience, significant moments, and cherished objects d'art," the Rolls Royce website said in its description of the vehicle.
