A shocking incident at Sitaramapalya metro station has left a young man and his family outraged after his ₹4 lakh Royal Enfield motorcycle vanished from the parking lot. Despite paying for parking and receiving a three-day token, the bike remains missing, raising serious concerns about security at metro parking facilities.

Yashas, the owner of the bike, parked it at the metro station on December 13 at 5 PM, paying ₹210 for three days of parking. However, the next day at 7:30 PM, the parking staff informed him that his bike was missing. When Yashas arrived at the station on December 15, he was stunned to find no trace of his vehicle.
Despite the presence of CCTV cameras, there is no clarity on how the bike disappeared. Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) officials denied responsibility, while the parking contractor, Surekha Enterprises, offered no explanation.
Adding to the frustration, Yashas’s family alleges negligence, accusing parking staff of orchestrating the theft. Although the parking contractor recently restricted overnight bike parking, Yashas had previously parked his vehicle for extended periods without issues.
The family, who purchased the bike on loan, is demanding accountability. "We trusted the metro staff, and now no one is taking responsibility," they said during a heated exchange at the station.
Police involvement has yielded little progress, prompting questions about the effectiveness of surveillance and the integrity of parking contractors. The incident highlights the need for stricter oversight to ensure commuter safety.
