Sriharsha, a businessman from Kengeri, had brought ₹2 crore in cash to convert it into USDT (a cryptocurrency), intending to purchase machinery from Japan for his new venture. The transaction was reportedly arranged through an acquaintance, Benjamin Harsha, who, along with two others, met Sriharsha at the shop to facilitate the conversion.

As the group began counting the cash, 6-7 unidentified men stormed into the premises. One of them held a knife to Sriharsha’s neck while the rest overpowered the others. The gang stuffed the bundles of cash into a bag and fled the scene, leaving the victims shocked and helpless.

Sriharsha later lodged a complaint at Vidyaranyapura Police Station. In a surprising twist, police have registered a case not just against the unidentified robbers but also against Benjamin Harsha and his associates. The trio has been taken into custody for questioning.

Authorities are investigating the incident from multiple angles and have launched a search operation to nab the unidentified suspects involved in the robbery.

Police suspect it may have been an inside job, though investigations are ongoing.
