However, with the high cost of living in Halifax—where he pays CAD 2,300 (₹1.42 lakh) in rent and utilities—and challenges with the Canadian healthcare system, he is considering a significant change.

The engineer has been offered a managerial position at his company’s Bengaluru office, with a salary of ₹36 lakh per annum plus a ₹5 lakh bonus. Despite this lucrative offer, he is hesitant to leave Canada due to concerns about adapting to life in India and working under a new management style. He has expressed apprehension about the potential cultural shift and the possibility of working with an Indian manager, citing concerns over demanding work environments.

In a Reddit post seeking advice, he weighs the benefits of a managerial role in India against his established life in Canada. The engineer is contemplating whether to accept the offer and return to India or stay in Canada and continue navigating his current challenges.
