Saif Ali Khan praises Rahul Gandhi, calls him 'brave and honest' politician

In a recent interview, Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan expressed admiration for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, calling him a "brave and honest" politician. Speaking at the India Today Conclave, Saif lauded Gandhi for reshaping his public image, especially after facing widespread criticism in the past.

During the event, Saif, who is currently promoting his latest film Devara Part 1, was asked about the kind of politician he respects. He emphasized the importance of courage and integrity in leadership, stating, "I like a brave politician, an honest politician."

When the host presented names like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and Rahul Gandhi, Saif singled out the Congress leader, highlighting his transformation. "There was a time when people were disrespecting him, but he worked hard and turned that around in a very interesting way," Saif remarked.

The actor’s comments quickly gained attention on social media, particularly among Rahul Gandhi's supporters. A clip of his statement has gone viral on X (formerly Twitter), with many interpreting Saif’s words as an endorsement of Gandhi’s leadership.

Saif, known for his role in the political drama Tandav, also starred in Devara Part 1, which released today. The film, co-starring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, has already generated strong advance bookings and is expected to be a box office success.
