Prabhas-starrer Salaar has been shattering records across the globe with its collections. It has already crossed the Rs 400 crore mark worldwide. In India alone the collections have breached the Rs 200 crore mark with the collection after three days of release estimated to be Rs 208 crore. It received the biggest opening for any Indian film in 2023 as it amassed Rs 175 crore on day one. A further positive trend is anticipated in the film’s collections with the holidays of Christmas and New Year around the corner.

Amidst all the good news, the film’s reception in Karnataka has also been interesting to observe. The Kannada dubbed version of the film earned Rs 1.07 crore on its first day. This has been the highest opening for any Kannada-dubbed movie and the first film to breach the Rs 1 crore mark in this regard. The cumulative amount for the first two days of the Kannada dubbed version exceeds Rs 2 crore. On December 25th, wherein many viewers will flock to the theatres on account of Christmas, the Kannada dubbed version of the film is anticipated to get more than 500 screens in Karnataka. Many theatre owners have decided to broadcast the Kannada-dubbed version after assessing that there is a better response to it from the audience.
