Salman Khan boosts his security by installing bulletproof glass amid gangster threats

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has enhanced security at his Bandra residence, Galaxy Apartments, by installing bulletproof glass on the balcony and windows. The move follows revelations in a Mumbai Police chargesheet about a conspiracy to assassinate the actor.

The 4,590-page chargesheet, filed in connection with the murder of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique, exposed plans by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang to target Salman. The actor reportedly became the gang’s primary focus, with Siddique’s murder serving as a fallback plan when an earlier attempt to eliminate Salman failed due to tight security.

In April, two armed men on a motorcycle fired shots near Salman’s home. The actor identified Bishnoi as the mastermind behind the attack, claiming it was an attempt on his life and his family’s safety.

The chargesheet outlines that Siddique’s killing on October 12, 2023, was part of Bishnoi’s broader strategy to expand his criminal influence. Siddique was allegedly targeted due to his reported ties to Salman Khan and suspected links with international terrorist Dawood Ibrahim.

Authorities have arrested 26 suspects in connection with Siddique’s murder, while three remain at large, including Bishnoi’s brother Anmol Singh Bishnoi.

Salman Khan has not commented publicly on the latest developments.
