Salman Khan joins Atlee’s next: A grand reincarnation action drama in the works

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is set to collaborate with acclaimed filmmaker Atlee for an ambitious reincarnation action drama, according to reports. Following the blockbuster success of Jawan, Atlee’s next project is generating considerable buzz, promising a grand cinematic spectacle with a two-hero storyline.

Slated to begin production in the summer of 2025, the film reportedly explores two distinct eras—past and present—with Salman portraying a warrior in the period setting. Reportedly, a source revealed that Atlee has been crafting the script for over a year, aiming to create a fictional world with breathtaking visuals and intense drama. While details about the present-era storyline remain under wraps, the focus will largely be on the period sequences, which are said to drive the narrative's conflict and emotional depth.

Adding to the excitement, Atlee is reportedly in talks to cast either Kamal Haasan or Rajinikanth as the parallel lead, making this project one of Indian cinema's most anticipated casting coups. The filmmaker plans to finalize the cast by the end of the year.

Atlee is working meticulously on pre-production to ensure the project meets expectations.

Meanwhile, Salman is busy filming Sikandar alongside Rashmika Mandanna. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film is slated for an Eid 2025 release, building anticipation for his subsequent venture with Atlee.
