Salman Khan-starrer Tiger 3 to release on Diwali

Salman Khan-starrer Tiger 3 would be released on Diwali this year. The announcement was made alongside a teaser which was posted by Salman Khan on his X (formerly known as Twitter) account. The teaser was released on 27th September. This is incidentally the birthday of the legendary director, Yash Chopra.

Salman Khan would take on the Indian state over accusations of being a traitor in the film. A spy-cinematic-universe is being built by Yash Raj Films in continuum with Pathan and War. Salman Khan’s character had made a brief appearance in Pathan earlier this year. Salman enjoyed that experience. “For Shah Rukh and I to come together on the big screen, it always needed a special film and I’m glad Pathaan is that film. I was floored when Adi narrated the sequence to me and told me about his vision to bring us together on screen again,” he stated in an interaction with the Hindustan Times. 

 The film is directed by Maneesh Sharma. Despite a prolonged partnership with Yash Raj Films, this would be the first time he is directing a full blown action movie. As with the earlier instalments, Katrina Kaif would play the female lead in the film. Emraan Hashmi would also have a prominent part to play in the film. The film would release in Tamil and Telugu as well.
