Tiger 3 makes Rs 43 on day 1

This is the highest for any movie on Diwali-day release

Salman Khan, Kaif had urged fans to make the movie a hit!

The Salman Khan-and-Katrina Kaif-starrer Tiger 3 plundered Rs 43 crore on day 1 of its release. Needless to say, the movie has set a record for any movie being released on the day of Diwali and a personal best for Salman Khan. 

As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, “While no major Hindi film has released on Diwali Day in more than a decade (film biz is severely impacted, since people are busy with festivities and Laxmi Puja), Tiger 3 emerges as a game changer. Decimates all BO records for Diwali Day. Hold on, not only is Tiger 3 the highest opener on Diwali Day, but also Salman Khan’s biggest opener ever (yes, you read that right!). Sunday ₹ 43 cr. India biz. Hindi version. Box office,” he noted.

As far as the story is concerned, Avinash ‘Tiger’ Singh Rathore, who leads a happy life with his family is called upon by the new RAW head (Maithili Menon) in a bid to rescue his former handler Gopi Arya. Arya was captured while he was endeavouring to extract information about a dangerous mission being planned in Pakistan. 

Earlier, Salman and Kaif had put out posts, urging fans to make the movie a success.
