Samantha inspired not just me, but also Raj, DK, Sita and everyone at Amazon: Varun Dhawan

The teaser for the Amazon Prime Video series titled Citadel: Honey Bunny featuring Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan and Tollywood actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been released. At the teaser launch event, Varun Dhawan heaped praises on Samantha. Samantha was supposedly battling myositis while shooting for the film. “Honestly, my preparation was very easy compared to Samantha’s. It’s public knowledge what she was battling when she joined the show. I thought my rehearsals were tough, but then I saw her incredible work ethic despite her struggles, and it truly inspired me,” Varun said.

‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ will be applicable for public consumption starting from November 7th. The film has been helmed by the producers of the American web series ‘Citadel’ that had featured Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra as the lead. Samantha will be playing the titular role of ‘Honey’ in the series whereas Varun Dhawan will be featured as Bunny. “I’ve never been on a shoot or a creative process like that before, where I witnessed a co-actor going through such challenges. You learn a lot about human resilience and strength when you see someone battling something and still succeeding. Samantha inspired not just me, but also Raj, DK, Sita, and everyone at Amazon. Her dedication to this action show is truly inspirational,” Varun added.
