Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Sreenu are reuniting for their fourth collaboration with Akhanda 2 - Thaandavam, a sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Akhanda. The film recently commenced production, and the makers have now announced that actress Samyuktha has joined the cast.

Sharing the news on social media, the team wrote, “The talented and happening @iamsamyuktha_ is on board for #Akhanda2 - Thaandavam.”

Scheduled for a grand release on September 25, 2025, coinciding with Dussehra, Akhanda 2 is generating significant buzz. The original Akhanda featured Balakrishna in dual roles, portraying a demi-God with superhuman powers and a samaritan fighting factionalism. Despite mixed reviews, the film was a box office success, cementing its place as a fan favorite.

This marks the fourth collaboration between Balakrishna and Sreenu after their earlier hits Simha (2010), Legend (2014), and Akhanda (2021).

While the plot and additional cast details for the sequel remain under wraps, the film boasts a talented crew. Cinematography is handled by C. Ramprasad and Santoshh D Detakae, with editing by Tammiraju. Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta are producing the project under the 14 Reels Plus banner, with Tejeswini Nandamuri presenting the film.

Fans eagerly await this high-octane entertainer as it gears up to hit screens this year.
