  • Police find difficulties in retrieving CCTV footage of the incident
  • Even the car's dashboard camera appears to be missing
  • Sandhya’s family press for a fair and transparent investigation

A new development has surfaced in the investigation of Sandhya's death following a car accident involving a Benz. In a surprising twist, authorities have reported difficulties in retrieving clear CCTV footage of the incident. Even the car's dashboard camera, which could have captured crucial details, appears to be missing, leaving Sandhya’s grieving family seeking answers.

Sandhya and her husband Shivakumar had planned to visit Kashi next month, a trip they had long anticipated. However, the tragedy has shattered their plans, with Shivakumar now facing this journey alone. Emotional and overwhelmed by the sudden loss, Shivakumar expressed his heartbreak, saying he never imagined he’d be making this pilgrimage under such circumstances.

The police initially seized two CCTV recordings related to the accident, but both were reportedly unclear. Additionally, another footage source could not be accessed due to server issues, casting further doubt on the evidence. While roadways are usually well-monitored, the lack of clear footage is unusual, raising questions among the family and public alike.

In response to Sandhya’s death, police registered a First Information Report (FIR) but did not list the name of the alleged perpetrator. The FIR, filed under the Indian Motor Vehicle Act of 1988, includes charges related to drunk driving. Authorities have arrested the driver, identified as Dhanush, who is now in custody.

Sandhya’s family, advocating for a thorough investigation, has requested that the police not only rely on unclear CCTV footage but also explore any possible dashboard camera evidence. They argue that luxury cars typically have dashcams, which could provide critical details about the crash. With Sandhya’s family deeply invested in finding the truth, they continue to press for a transparent investigation that can bring justice for her untimely death.
