What has fans particularly excited is Bhansali’s reunion with Ranbir Kapoor after an 18-year gap since Saawariya. Adding to the buzz is Alia Bhatt, who previously delivered a stellar performance in Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, and Vicky Kaushal, working with the acclaimed director for the first time.

Bhansali also dispelled rumours that ‘Love And War’ is a remake of the 1964 classic Sangam. "You should not remake Sholay or Mother India, so why would I remake Sangam?” he clarified. He emphasized that this new project is a departure from his previous works, explaining, “It’s contemporary. The music is different. It’s a new space for me, and I’m enjoying it.”

The filmmaker shared his excitement about working with this ensemble cast, praising Alia Bhatt’s untapped potential and expressing his careful approach to this challenging film. "I won’t take my actors, myself, or the audience for granted," he concluded.

Bhansali’s last release was the much-acclaimed web series Heeramandi. Fans now eagerly await what Love And War will bring to the screen.
