Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has opened up about the moment he first met actress Deepika Padukone, revealing how he was captivated by her beauty. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Bhansali recounted his initial visit to Padukone's home, where he was immediately struck by her enchanting eyes.

Bhansali described Padukone as possessing a unique blend of subtlety, fragility, and immense beauty. As they began their conversation, he found her voice equally mesmerizing. In that moment, Bhansali felt a strong connection, recognizing that he was in the right place at the right time, with the right person who had the potential to achieve great heights in her career.

Reflecting on their professional relationship, Bhansali noted that it’s all about instinct and the soul’s connection between two individuals, a feeling he strongly experienced with Padukone. Looking ahead, Deepika Padukone is set to star in Singham Again, which hits theaters on November 1, alongside a stellar cast including Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, and Kareena Kapoor. Meanwhile, Bhansali is preparing to direct Love and War, featuring Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal, scheduled for release on March 20, 2026.
