Goenka, who heads the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group and owns the Lucknow Super Giants team, arrived at the temple with his family earlier this week. During the visit, he participated in special prayers and rituals before handing over the donation to senior officials of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the trust that manages the temple.
The contribution included a collection of ornaments made from over 5.2 kilograms of pure gold, some embedded with dazzling diamonds. The ceremonial handover was conducted in the temple’s Ranganayakula Mandapam, where the family offered their prayers and paid homage.
The TTD’s Additional Executive Officer, Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, formally received the donation. The temple trust acknowledged the gesture with gratitude, highlighting Goenka’s commitment to preserving and supporting spiritual institutions.
