Saptami Gowda sues Yuva’s wife Sridevi for Rs 10 cr for spoiling her reputation in divorce case

A few days ago, it was reported that Dr Rajkumar’s grandson Yuvaraj had filed a divorce petition against his wife Sridevi. 

It was alleged that actress Saptami Gowda had a role to play in the issue.

Now, Saptami has filed a defamation suit against Sridevi and has sought damages worth Rs 10 crore. She has pointed fingers at Sridevi for besmirching her reputation. 

She has also asked Sridevi to publicly apologise for her statements. 

She has also appealed to the court to refrain her making any derogatory remarks against her in the future. The court has issued a notice to Sridevi in this regard. 

Earlier, in a dramatic turn of events, Yuva Rajkumar had served a legal notice to his wife, Sridevi Bairappa, on April 19, 2024, signaling his intent to file for divorce. The notice had left Sridevi, who is currently residing in Boston, USA, in a state of shock and mental distress.

Sridevi promptly responded to the notice on May 28, 2024, through her lawyer, detailing her anguish and allegations against Yuva Rajkumar. She claims to have endured nine years of mental, physical, and financial harassment, all of which she had tolerated for the sake of family honour.
