Movie on the brink of breaching the Rs 50 crore mark

Film marks a return to form for both the director and Nani

Movie has already raked in Rs 36.03 crore globally in just two days

The Nani-starrer Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is on the brink of breaching the Rs 50 crore mark at the global box office, after a significant recovery on Saturday. Following a 35 percent dip in collections on Friday, the film bounced back with a strong Rs 8.50 crore on day three, bringing its domestic earnings to Rs 23.35 crore.

Directed by Vivek Athreya, the film marks a return to form for both the director and Nani, following the underwhelming response to their previous collaboration, Ante Sundaraniki. Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, a masala-packed entertainer, opened with Rs 9 crore on Thursday, but saw a decline to Rs 5.85 crore on Friday. Despite the setback, the film’s Saturday performance has renewed optimism among trade analysts, who anticipate strong Sunday numbers.

The movie, produced by DVV Entertainment, had already raked in Rs 36.03 crore globally in just two days. With positive reviews translating into strong box office results, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram seems poised to become one of the biggest hits in Nani’s career.

However, unpredictable weather in the Telugu states could impact the film’s ongoing success. If conditions improve, the film is expected to continue its upward trajectory. The film, which also stars SJ Suryah, Sai Kumar, and Priyanka Mohan, features music by Jakes Bejoy, cinematography by Murali G, and editing by Karthika Srinivas.

Besides Telugu, the movie has been released in multiple languages, including Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, under the title Surya’s Saturday.
