Fresh satellite imagery has confirmed the significant damage inflicted on key Pakistani air bases by the Indian Air Force during Operation Sindoor on May 10. The precision airstrikes, carried out in response to Pakistan’s attempted airspace violations at 26 locations, targeted strategic military installations, prompting the Shehbaz Sharif-led government to urgently seek a ceasefire after three days of hostilities.

The satellite images, captured by Maxar Technologies on May 10 and 11 show detailed destruction at several air bases including Sukkur, Nur Khan, Rahim Yar Khan, Mushaf (Sargodha), Jacobabad, and Bholari. Radar stations in Pasrur and Sialkot were also hit with precision-guided munitions.

The Nur Khan Air Base, located near Islamabad and used by Pakistan’s top leadership, was among the most strategically significant targets. It houses VIP aircraft, early warning systems, and refueling aircraft and plays a central role in Pakistan's air mobility operations.

At Rahim Yar Khan Air Base, near the Rajasthan border, a massive crater on the main runway forced Pakistan to suspend all operations for a week. The base, shared with Sheikh Zayed International Airport, is critical for drone operations and rapid deployments.

India’s swift and targeted retaliation during Operation Sindoor significantly impacted Pakistan’s military preparedness and infrastructure.
