The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has announced planned power outages for 8 hours across various parts of the city between May 30 and May 31, 2025. The temporary disruptions are necessary to facilitate ongoing underground cable installation and road widening activities.

Residents in the affected localities are advised to make necessary arrangements to minimise inconvenience during the scheduled interruptions.
Areas to Face Outages:
On Friday, May 30, power will be disrupted in the following areas:
- Hindu Crematorium vicinity
- Kannurahalli Road
- Somasundar Layout
- Surrounding localities
On Saturday, May 31, the power cut will affect:
- Court area
- Ayyappa Swamy Temple locality
- Telephone Exchange area
- Majjige Kunti
- Degree College Road
- Kuvempu Nagar
- Kadu Badavane
- Kammava Nagar
- Thyagaraja Layout
- Doddagattiganahalli Road
- Nandashree area
According to the Assistant Executive Engineer of the BESCOM Hoskote subdivision, these outages are part of essential infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving long-term service reliability.
