A significant security lapse was reported at the Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya, where a man managed to enter the complex wearing glasses fitted with hidden cameras. The individual, who was secretly capturing photos of the temple, was apprehended by vigilant security personnel and is now under interrogation by the Intelligence Bureau (IB).

The incident occurred on Monday when the accused arrived at the temple for darshan of Ramlallah. Despite stringent security protocols overseen by the Special Security Force (SSF), he managed to pass through all checkpoints unnoticed. The SSF, a specialized unit comprising personnel from the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) and Uttar Pradesh Police, is tasked with securing the temple.

The man began taking photos using the concealed cameras in his glasses, which were equipped with lenses on both sides for discreet photography. Security personnel eventually noticed the suspicious activity and detained him on-site. Following initial questioning, he was handed over to IB officials for further investigation.

The breach has raised serious concerns about the effectiveness of the temple's security measures. The Yogi Adityanath government had established the SSF to ensure foolproof security at Ayodhya's sacred sites. This incident has highlighted the need for advanced training and enhanced vigilance among the security staff.

Authorities are now investigating the motive behind the accused's actions and the potential misuse of the captured images. Security protocols at the temple are also under review.
