Senthil Balaji getting a 5-star treatment in jail? Savukku Shankar elaborates on his daily routine

Journalist Savukku Shankar who has been in the forefront with his sharp criticism of the DMK ( Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam)  has described the scenario in the Puzhal Central prison that is hosting V. Senthil Balaji, former Electricity Minister of the state of Tamil Nadu, who has been arrested in a money laundering cash-for-jobs scam. 

Savukku Shankar has claimed that the Puzhal Prison Hospital has been emptied to ensure privacy for the DMK MLA V Senthil Balaji. He is being provided with a consortium of desserts like Carrot Halwa and Kesari on a daily basis. On Sunday he was served with Pineapple Kesari. 

The prison officials apparently provide V Senthil Balaji with an exclusive menu. The Superintendent of the Prisons, Krishnaraj is said to have made daily visits to V Senthil Balaji’s cell and attended to his personal needs. Additional Superintendent of Prisons Dharmaraj is reported to spend most of his time with V Senthil Balaji. Senthil Balaji has also reportedly been provided with a 55 inch Panasonic LED TV with a set-top box in his cell. The strength of the Puzhal Prison hospital has supposedly had a size down from 40 patients to 14 patients. The police personnel have received instructions from Minister Raghupathy to provide special attention to V Senthil Balaji, Savukku Shankar said.
