    ORRCA convened meeting at Goldman Sachs campus on Outer Ring Road

    DCM DK Shivakumar and BBMP, BTP, BMTC, BMRCL, DULT officials took part

    Reviewed proposals and recommendations on resolving plaguing traffic problems

Following the recent unprecedented traffic situation on September 27 on ORR in which lakhs of vehicles were stranded, a meeting with Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka DK Shivakumar was held today (October 7).

The meeting was hosted by Outer Ring Road Companies Association (ORRCA) at the Goldman Sachs campus.

Apart from DK Shivakumar, key authorities from Bengaluru, including BBMP, BTP, BMTC, BMRCL, DULT, BESCOM, BWSSB, Transport Department, and others attended the meeting.

The ORRCA presented a comprehensive overview of the top issues faced by companies and employees in the area.

They offered valuable suggestions and recommendations for addressing these concerns, which encompassed various aspects such as infrastructure (arterial roads, footpaths, potholes, bus stops, skywalks, encroachments, etc.), traffic congestion, Metro development, and public transport programs.

Following a thorough review of the proposals and recommendations, the Deputy Chief Minister promptly instructed the respective government departments to take immediate action.

He also pledged to regularly monitor the progress and agreed to return to ORR for further discussions after a three-month period.

ORRCA is eagerly looking forward to witness progress on these critical issues and expresses its optimism regarding the success of the traffic decongestion program, especially given the timely implementation of these recommendations.
