Sequel to The Kerala Story in the works, focuses on Hema Committee Report

Following the remarkable success of The Kerala Story, which became the highest-grossing female-led film of all time with a staggering Rs 378 crore at the box office, the team is gearing up for a sequel. Directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Shah, the new installment will tackle the controversial Hema Committee report, continuing to explore compelling narratives set in Kerala.

Reports state that Adah Sharma will reprise her role, solidifying her status as the face of the franchise. The sequel is expected to feature a renowned older actress in a parallel role, enhancing its star power.

All cast members have reportedly signed non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to maintain confidentiality regarding the storyline and additional cast details.
