The pre-monsoon downpour has brought a cool spell over Bengaluru, popularly known as the Silicon City. However, along with the pleasant weather, a host of challenges have emerged. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert, indicating the likelihood of heavy rainfall in Bengaluru and several other districts over the next few hours.

While citizens welcomed the drop in temperatures after days of rain, the situation has led to severe waterlogging in areas like Sai Layout, making it nearly impossible for residents to step out. The forecast for the next three hours continues to warn of intense rain in Bengaluru and its surrounding rural regions, prompting officials to urge residents to remain cautious.
The impact of the pre-monsoon activity isn’t limited to Bengaluru. Districts such as Bagalkote, Belagavi, Dharwad, Gadag, Koppal, and Kolar are also expected to receive significant rainfall, accompanied by gusty winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 kmph. Authorities have advised people to stay alert as strong winds and heavy showers may disrupt daily life.
