Mannat, a Grade III heritage structure, has been home to the Khan family since 2005. It has become a landmark for fans who frequently visit Bandra Bandstand, hoping to catch a glimpse of the superstar. However, the property is now undergoing major renovations, expected to last two years.

To accommodate this expansion, SRK has rented two duplex apartments in Pali Hill for ₹2.9 crore per year. The new residence is part of a building developed by film producer Vashu Bhagnani.

As part of the renovation, an application was submitted to the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority for approval to add two more floors to Mannat’s annex. The expansion will increase the built-up area by 616.02 square meters, adding a seventh and eighth floor. Currently, the bungalow consists of two basement levels, a ground floor, and six upper floors.

While work is underway, the Khan family has not officially commented on the temporary move or the details of the renovation.
