Shah Rukh Khan tops celebrity taxpayer list with Rs 92 crore!

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has emerged as the highest celebrity taxpayer in India for the financial year 2024, according to Fortune India. The actor paid an impressive ₹92 crore in taxes, leading the list of high-earning celebrities.

South Indian star Thalapathy Vijay ranked second, contributing ₹80 crore in taxes, surpassing other top names in Bollywood and cricket. Salman Khan followed closely with ₹75 crore, securing third place. Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan came in fourth, paying ₹71 crore in taxes, while cricketer Virat Kohli rounded out the top five with ₹66 crore.

Other prominent figures in the top ten include Ajay Devgn (₹42 crore), MS Dhoni (₹38 crore), Ranbir Kapoor (₹36 crore), and Hrithik Roshan and Sachin Tendulkar, both of whom paid ₹28 crore.

Additionally, comedian Kapil Sharma made the list, contributing ₹26 crore, along with Kareena Kapoor (₹20 crore), Shahid Kapoor and South Indian stars Mohanlal and Allu Arjun, who each paid ₹14 crore. Other notable contributors include Hardik Pandya (₹13 crore), Kiara Advani (₹12 crore), Pankaj Tripathi, and Katrina Kaif, who each paid ₹11 crore.

The list highlights the significant contributions from celebrities across Bollywood, South Indian cinema, and sports, marking another year of substantial earnings and tax contributions by India's top stars.
