Released in 1993 and directed by Abbas-Mustan, Baazigar catapulted Shah Rukh into stardom with his dual portrayal of Ajay Sharma and Vicky Malhotra. Known largely for romantic roles, Khan’s dark performance in Baazigar resonated with audiences, solidifying his versatility and setting the stage for later anti-hero successes in Darr and Don. Baazigar also starred Kajol, Shilpa Shetty, and Johny Lever, and its intricate plot centered on a young man seeking revenge against a ruthless businessman, setting off a web of intrigue, betrayal, and suspense.

While specific details about the sequel remain under wraps, fans are buzzing with anticipation for another unforgettable SRK performance. The superstar’s recent box-office wins with Jawan and Pathaan have only heightened excitement for his upcoming ventures. Khan is next set to begin filming King in January 2025, a project that will feature his daughter, Suhana Khan, alongside Abhishek Bachchan and Abhay Verma.
