Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj reunite for action thriller, set for December 2025 release

Actor Shahid Kapoor and acclaimed filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj are teaming up once again for a new action thriller, slated for release on December 5, 2025. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film promises an exciting cinematic experience, reuniting Kapoor and Bhardwaj after seven years. Their previous collaborations, Haider (2014) and Kaminey (2009), garnered critical acclaim for their gripping narratives and powerful performances.

The yet-to-be-titled film boasts a stellar cast, including Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, and Randeep Hooda. Production is set to commence on January 6, 2025. The project was announced on social media platform X, where the makers shared, “Sajid Nadiadwala presents a Vishal Bhardwaj film! A spectacular cinematic journey begins on 6th Jan 2025. Film releasing on 5th December 2025.”

Reportedly based on the life of gangster Hussain Ustara, the film revives Bhardwaj's interest in crime sagas. The director had previously planned a biopic on gangster Sapna Didi with Deepika Padukone and the late Irrfan Khan, but the project never materialized.

This film marks Kapoor’s third collaboration with Bhardwaj, following Haider and Rangoon (2017), raising anticipation among fans and critics alike for another memorable cinematic outing.
