Devaraje Gowda, the lawyer who made explosive claims against Karnataka Dy CM Shiv Kumar in relation to the Prajwal Revanna sexgate, has now made more startling claims.
He said, “It was the Dy CM himself who was directly involved in getting the pen drives distributed. For this purpose, he had even offered Rs 100 crore as kickback. The deal was struck at a room at Bowring Club. I was given an advance of Rs 5 crore in cash.”
Moreover, he said, “He had also appointed a team of 4 ministers including Cheluvarayaswamy, Krishnabyre Gowda, Priyank Kharge and another minister. They give me specific instructions to spoil the image of Narendra Modi using these videos at the national and international level and Kumaraswamy at the local level.”
Reacting strongly to the allegation, senior Congress leader Priyank Kharge wondered why he is making such baseless claims.
“Why is he making such claims from within the confines of the jail? Is Union Home Minister Amit Shah tutoring him? If he has any proof, let him produce it before competent authorities. Let truth prevail.”
Audio released
