Shiva Rajkumar defends Kamal Haasan amid Kannada language controversy

Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar has come out in support of veteran actor Kamal Haasan, addressing the recent backlash Haasan faced over alleged remarks related to the Kannada language. Speaking at a public event in Bengaluru, Shiva Rajkumar urged critics to reflect on their own contributions to the Kannada film industry before targeting others.

The actor questioned the timing of the outrage, pointing out that Haasan had been present at a local event just a day earlier and no objections were raised at the time. Shiva Rajkumar also criticized sections of the media for amplifying the issue and called for consistent and heartfelt support for the Kannada language, not just during controversies or public events. He stressed that true commitment to the language and industry lies in continuous efforts, such as creating opportunities for young talent and investing in the growth of Kannada cinema.

Citing recent films like Jailer, Captain Miller, and Bhajarangi 2 as examples of his dedication, Shiva reaffirmed his lifelong commitment to Kannada and its cultural legacy, urging others to do the same through meaningful action rather than empty criticism.
