  • Prabhudeva returns to sandalwood after more than a decade

A writing that reads “Ondhanandhu kaaladhali eradu kuthanthri narigallidhavu. Ondhara hesaru Karataka, Inondhara hesaru Dhamanaka. Ee eradu narigalu kaadu mathe naadina thale kedisi ithihaasavadhavu. Aa kunthanthra narigalu indhu illi maanava roopa thaalive, eccharike” ( Once upon a time, there were 2 cunning, dangerous foxes. The name of one is Karataka and the other is Dhamanaka.

Both these jackals became entrenched in history by causing trouble in the forests and in the towns. These dangerous foxes have now assumed a human form, beware!) can be seen in the released poster of the upcoming Yograj Bhatt directorial “Karataka, Damanaka” starring Shivarajkumar and Prabhudeva. Shivarajkumar and Prabhudeva are staged beside 2 foxes and they overflow with the “cantankerous fox” energy.

Shivarajkumar celebrated his birthday just 2 days back on July 12th and his fans would be on cloud nine with the release of multiple film promos around the same time. Prabhudeva had a brief stint with sandalwood in the 2000s and it would be exciting to see him revisit the Kannada film industry. The film is set in the 1960s and 1970s. One can expect Yograj Bhatt to deliver on grounds of showcasing a poetic, deeply insightful take on life
