Sandalwood actor Darling Krishna is set to achieve another milestone in his career. Darling Krishna who was predominantly seen in romantic roles will now be seen in the role of a warrior. The story would be of a significant moment in the history of Karnataka.
The film has been named “Halagali.” An instance of Guerilla warfare against the British took place in the Halagali village located in the Bagalkot district of Karnataka by the Bedas. Director Sukesh D.K will bring the life and the struggle of the Bedas to the big screen. Sukesh has already found success with ‘Krishna Tulasi’ starring Sanchari Vijay. Krishna had worked on his body for the last 1 and a half years to adapt to this role. He is also solely focused on this project currently. The shooting for the film commenced in Lalit Mahal in Mysuru on 25th February.
Kalyan Chakravarthy Dhulipala, an entrepreneur hailing from Bellary will produce the film. It will be produced under the banner of Duhara Movies. Kalyan has produced more than 20 films in Kannada and Telugu. The film’s budget is expected to be Rs 80 crore. The film is aimed to be a pan-India project releasing in 5 languages including Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.
