In its initial phase, Cybersmart Bharat will target over 13,000 students from classes 8 to 12 across Bengaluru. The initiative aims to go beyond conventional digital safety lessons by encouraging critical thinking, online resilience, and self-awareness in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Recognising the rising vulnerability of young internet users, the programme will instil foundational cybersecurity principles, such as identifying online threats, avoiding digital manipulation, and understanding the broader impact of digital interactions. SISA is partnering with the non-profit organisation Youth for Seva to deliver the programme effectively in schools.

By focusing on education as the first line of defence in the digital age, Cybersmart Bharat underscores the importance of preparing young minds to navigate the internet safely and responsibly.

With increasing digital exposure among schoolchildren, SISA’s programme arrives at a critical moment, aiming to lay the groundwork for a more informed and secure digital future.
