The Special Investigation Team (SIT) looking into the case pertaining to the obscene videos supposedly featuring the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate Prajwal Revanna has arrived in Hassan. 2 people have been arrested on suspicion over their role in spreading the videos. The two individuals who have been arrested have been identified as Chetan and Likith. The anticipatory bail of the two individuals has been rejected. Earlier a First Information Report (FIR) was filed with regard to the case on April 23rd. They were picked up by the SIT in their vehicle.

Both the NDA and the Indian National Congress (INC) had refused allegations of having any role in the distribution of the videos and on the other hand were trying to frame each other in this regard. Currently the NDA is also attempting to have the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) involved in this case claiming that the SIT’s approach is biased.
