Sivakarthikeyan’s blockbuster ‘Amaran’ set for Netflix release on December 5

Sivakarthikeyan's patriotic action drama Amaran, which has become the highest-grossing film of his career, is ready to make its OTT debut. Based on the life of Major Mukund Varadharajan, the biographical film has amassed a staggering ₹330 crore in worldwide box office collections. With Sai Pallavi playing the female lead, the movie struck a chord with audiences across the nation, especially in the Telugu states, where it outperformed local releases.

The film’s monumental success can be attributed to its emotionally resonant storyline, intense war sequences, stellar performances, and GV Prakash Kumar’s memorable music. After a five-week theatrical window, Amaran will stream on Netflix starting December 5. The digital platform confirmed the release date on its catalog, announcing that the film will be available in Tamil and other dubbed versions.

Originally scheduled for an earlier OTT release, the date was delayed by a week to accommodate the film’s extraordinary box office run, bolstered by the underperformance of Kanguva. Fans are now eagerly awaiting the opportunity to revisit or discover this cinematic spectacle from the comfort of their homes.
