Six killed in tragic multi-vehicle collision on NH-50 in Vijayapura

A devastating road accident occurred near Mangooli town in Basavana Bagewadi taluk, Vijayapura district, involving a Mahindra TUV 300, a lorry, and a private VRL bus. The incident took place on National Highway 50 (NH-50) and claimed the lives of six individuals on the spot.

According to local authorities, five of the deceased were in the SUV, while one passenger from the bus also lost their life at the scene. Several others sustained serious injuries and were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Following the accident, Vijayapura SP Lakshman Nimbargi visited the location to inspect the situation and initiate further investigation. Police officials are continuing to collect detailed information to determine the cause of the accident.

The collision has sent shockwaves through the local community and raised concerns about road safety on this busy stretch of highway.
