Sonal Monterio offers clarification amidst rumours of having married Tharun Sudhir

Mangaluru-based Sonal Monterio who started her career by acting in Tulu films entered the Sandalwood film industry through ‘Abbisarike’ in 2018. 2 days back, the news that Sonal married the director of ‘Kaatera’, Tharun Sudhir had been making rounds on social media. 

Sonal offered a clarification amidst the rumours. In an interaction with a private channel Sonal said, “I do not have a boyfriend or even a crush on anyone. I had a breakup in the past. I have been happily single ever since.” This video has become rather viral on social media. Fans egged her to build a relationship with Tharun Sudhir.

Sonal played a crucial role in the Tharun Sudhir-directorial ‘Roberrt.’ The two must have had an interaction during the shooting of the film. She was paired along with Sandalwood actor Vinod Prabhakar who played the role of Raghava in the film. The Sandalwood actor Darshan-starrer Roberrt had become the only film to enter the Rs 50 crore club in 2021 as per Umapathi Srinivas was a producer of the film. Sonal has also featured in various other films such as Panchatantra, Demo Piece, Garadi and Sugar Factory.
