Renowned playback singer Sonu Nigam recently addressed an incident during his live performance at East Point College in Bengaluru, where he confronted a fan for allegedly behaving rudely. A video from the event surfaced on Instagram, capturing Nigam expressing his deep admiration for Kannada music and people, while calling out the inappropriate conduct of a young attendee.

According to Nigam, a boy in the crowd aggressively insisted that he sing in Kannada, which the singer found disrespectful. Despite regularly performing Kannada songs and expressing his affection for Karnataka audiences, Nigam appeared upset by the fan's tone and behavior.

Nigam also drew parallels between the current incident and a previous experience in Pahalgam, implying that a lack of courtesy often leads to unnecessary conflicts. During his address to the crowd, he reiterated his commitment to honoring regional languages and revealed that he often includes Kannada songs in his global performances, even if just one Kannadiga fan is present.

The singer reaffirmed his respect and emotional connection with Karnataka, stressing that he always approaches performances in the state with love and dignity. He urged fans to maintain mutual respect during such cultural exchanges.
