Mallory, who belongs to Britain and regularly dispels misinformation spread by influencers in the wellness industry, decided to attend the session of Samantha Lotus who claims to be a “holistic master coach”. She states that optometrists mislead people into getting glasses. “You may have been told that you need glasses but that’s actually a lie. There are mental, emotional, physical and even spiritual reasons why you may not be seeing and I’m here to tell you that it can be healed,” she states in an Instagram video. She states that she personally reversed the “need for glasses” and helped others to do so as well.
During the session the healing was referred to as “empowerment”. It was said that medical appraisals do not address deep rooted problems that cause the issue and only deal with symptoms. Metaphysical healing was the motto of the sessions that covered “eye affirmations”, “visualization”, “energy healing”, “healing work” and “soul therapy”. It was said that deciding that one has vision would aid in improving vision. Glasses were called a way of hiding from the world.
The session was charged at 11 dollars and the rationale provided was that they only wanted committed individuals to attend. Samantha also had a plug-in of essential oils of Doterra essential oils, the company for which she is a sales representative. The company however clarified that their products do not have the ability to clinically address diseases.
