With just two days left for the Women’s Premier League Season 4, Royal Challengers Bengaluru arrive in Mumbai fully loaded with explosive batters, signaling a clear intent to dominate the tournament with aggressive T20 cricket.
The countdown to Women’s Premier League (WPL) Season 4 has begun, with only two days remaining for the tournament opener. As excitement builds, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have emerged as one of the most talked-about teams, thanks to their formidable batting lineup and intense preparations in Mumbai. The Red Army is firmly focused on lifting its second WPL trophy.
Compared to last season, RCB appear significantly stronger on paper, especially in the batting department. The team management has clearly embraced the modern T20 formula, big hitters, high strike rates, and fearless intent. Even after the exit of a global star like Ellyse Perry ahead of WPL 2026, RCB’s batting strength has not dipped. Instead, a new group of explosive batters has stepped in to reinforce the lineup.
Leading the charge is captain Smriti Mandhana, widely regarded as the backbone of RCB’s batting. Known for her ability to blend elegance with power, Mandhana has delivered match-winning performances across global leagues. Her aggressive approach in the powerplay often sets the tone, and when she fires, RCB become extremely hard to contain.

Australian big-hitter Grace Harris adds another layer of firepower. Comfortable both as an opener and a middle-order batter, Harris is known for dismantling bowling attacks. With a T20 strike rate above 155 and three Big Bash League centuries to her name, she brings proven explosive ability to the side.
RCB’s lower order also packs a punch with South African star Nadine de Klerk. Recognised as one of the most consistent six-hitters, she finished among the top six-hitters in a recent ODI World Cup held in India. Her ability to change games in a few overs makes her a key asset.
Young Australian batter Georgia Voll further strengthens the lower middle order. She made headlines in the Big Bash League and The Hundred before impressing in the previous WPL season with a strike rate of 167. Her unforgettable 99-run blitz against RCB last season showcased her match-changing potential, now working in RCB’s favour.

Completing the power-packed lineup is wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh. At just 22, Ghosh has built a reputation for fearless hitting, especially in death overs. Her ability to clear boundaries under pressure makes her one of RCB’s most dangerous finishers.
With power-hitters stacked from top to bottom, RCB appear well-equipped for the demands of modern T20 cricket. If this batting unit clicks as expected, the Red Army could well be on course for another championship triumph.
