Prasad-led panel banks on cricketing experience, new leadership mix as it faces Team Shanth Kumar on Dec 7
With voting scheduled for December 7, the Game Changers panel led by former India fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad heads into the KSCA elections with strong confidence and clear backing from several members. The team continues to stress that its mix of cricketing credibility and professional administrative depth positions it favourably against K.N. Shanth Kumar’s panel.
The Game Changers lineup now stands as:
• President: Venkatesh Prasad
• Vice-President: Sujith Somasundar
• Secretary: Santhosh Menon
• Joint Secretary: A.V. Shashidhar
• Treasurer: B.N. Madhukar

On the eve of polling, Prasad emphasised the team’s enduring connection with the game.
“We understand the challenges the game has gone through better than anyone, because our emotional bond with cricket remains strong,” he said.
A major highlight of the panel’s campaign has been the inclusion of several past and present women cricketers entering administration for the first time, something the team says will inject new energy, balance and broader perspective into KSCA’s functioning.
The Game Changers have also consistently underlined their administrative depth. The panel includes seasoned professionals across fields, unified by the shared goal of restoring the Chinnaswamy Stadium’s historical identity as an institution built on trust, fairness and cricketing excellence.
“The situation is undoubtedly challenging, but we are prepared to take it on,” Prasad added, noting the positive response received during their outreach.
Santhosh Menon, contesting for the Secretary’s post, reinforced the panel’s vision.
“At Game Changers, we believe meaningful transformation is both necessary and achievable. With the support of the members, we hope to bring the stadium back to life as a vibrant home for passionate cricket lovers,” Menon said.

Meanwhile, Vinay Mruthyunjaya, regarded as a strong supporter and one of the driving forces behind the team, has been actively contributing to the campaign’s strategy and outreach. The panel also highlighted how Chinnaswamy Stadium was once a second home for legends such as Prasanna, Chandrasekhar, Vishwanath, Kirmani, Kumble and Dravid, and expressed hope of bringing that heritage back.
As polling day approaches, the Game Changers appear to carry clear momentum, strengthened by internal unity, wider member engagement and a campaign rooted firmly in cricket-first reforms.
Based on the enthusiasm the panel has generated and its sustained confidence through the run-up, the Game Changers enter tomorrow’s elections with a noticeable edge.
Results will be announced on Sunday evening.
