Rajasthan High Court cancels interim protection from arrest for RCB bowler Yash Dayal in a case involving allegations by a minor girl; next hearing set for August 22.

In a significant development, the Rajasthan High Court has vacated the interim stay on the arrest of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fast bowler Yash Dayal in connection with a case involving a minor girl. The court ruled that no interim relief can be granted due to the complainant being a minor.

Justice Sudesh Bansal issued the order after hearing arguments and directed that the case diary be presented. This ruling has sparked speculation that Dayal may soon be taken into custody.

Yash Dayal’s counsel, advocate Kunal Jaiman, argued in court that the accusations are a targeted attempt to damage the cricketer’s image. He stated that this is not the first case filed against Dayal, referencing a previous case in Ghaziabad which was stayed by the Allahabad High Court.

Despite these arguments, the court maintained that the seriousness of the allegations, especially involving a minor, warranted a fair investigation. The next hearing in the matter is scheduled for August 22.
